Mother's Day

Here is the card we are about to present to my dear mother-in-law. The intention is that she can keep the card on display after today and it features her favourite colours, rather than strictly spring-type shades.

The La Pashe flowers (Build-a-Blossoms) are good for adding dimension but the white undersides always annoy me, so I coloured them all in matching shades with Aquamarkers, which don't seep through.  Unfortunately, the photo does not show the embossing very well - I cut up a 12" x 12" mask to fit the size of the scallopped oval.

I now have to spend a few days organising my stash - should be a challenge!

  2. Beautiful card, and as you say, made in such a way that it can be displayed afterwords. I think my mother's still got an open book on a stand card that I made her last year on display, as that was also very flowery. Nothing to say that cards can only be shown on the day they are received.
